Prince Albert provides an oasis of green in the fascinating expanse of the Great Karoo and concentrates on the growing of soft fruit, vines and olives.
This fully furnished two bedroom self-catering accommodation is available for you to enjoy all year round. The main bedroom has a double four poster bed with full en-suite bathroom and the guest room has 2 single beds with a separate bathroom and shower.
There is a fireplace for those chilly winter nights and a covered stoep with braai (BBQ area) for those long summer evenings. The garden is private, planted with indigenous plants, succulents and trees. Relax next to the splash pool on lounging chairs and soak up the Karoo sun or for the more adventurous, why not take a midnight dip to view the celestial splendour of the Southern Hemisphere.
As well as being the perfect base to explore the stunning scenery and local attractions, Observatory House also features the latest in telescope technology. The night skies in the Karoo are considered some of the best in the world and within the garden is the observatory, available to guests with prior notice. We can even arrange stargazing nights, hosted by a local astronomer who will expertly reveal to you the wonders of the night sky.
With an emphasis on quality, comfort and value for money, we believe your stay at Observatory House will be memorable, bringing you back for many years to come.
If you would like to book the cottage, please do not hesitate to call us or email us for availability.
