Q: How far is Prince Albert from Capetown?

A: Approx 400 km. It is a very straightforward drive of around 5 hrs.

 


 

Q: Are there any beaches nearby?

A: No, but a short drive over the mountains for 2 hrs will take you to the beaches along the beautiful garden route.
 


 

Q: Can I get supplies in town?

A: There is a large Spa and two butchers; also Gays Dairy is a short stroll from the house for very fresh milk and cheeses.
 


 
A: There is a garage at the entrance to town which will sell you ready made bundles of Braai wood.
 

 
A: Oudtshoorn is a large town just over 1 hrs drive through dramatic scenery.
